POLBALT conifer bark – functional mulch with high utility and aesthetic qualities

POLBALT conifer bark is a natural, organic material of forest origin, designed for professional mulching of green areas, flowerbeds, large-scale plantings and reclamation applications. The product is characterised by high quality and a carefully controlled production process, which ensures consistency of fractions and stability of functional properties.

The bark effectively promotes moisture retention in the soil, reduces evaporation and stabilises the temperature in the root zone. By forming an insulating layer, it protects root systems from extreme weather conditions – excessive heating in summer and freezing in winter. In addition, it reduces soil erosion and effectively inhibits weed growth without the need for chemical protection measures.

From an aesthetic point of view, pine bark blends in perfectly with the surrounding greenery, enhancing the visual value of garden spaces. It is offered in a variety of grain size fractions, so it can be fine-tuned to suit your usage needs – from decorative flower beds to mulching large tree and shrub plantings.

Principles of use and dosage:

  • Substrate preparation: Weeds, turf and lingering organic debris should be removed before application.
  • Initial application: Recommended layer thickness is 7-8 cm – this corresponds to approx. 1 bag per 1 m² surface.
  • Maintenance and replenishment: In subsequent years, as a result of the natural decomposition process, it is recommended to replenish the bark by 3-4 cm per year.
  • Decomposition side effects: The bark humifies, transforming into valuable organic material that enriches the soil with humus and improves its fertility.

Key features:
