POLBALT lawn soil is a professional peat and sand mixture developed for the effective establishment of new lawns and the regeneration of existing grass areas. The carefully selected raw material composition – a combination of light and dark peat with the appropriate fraction of sand – ensures the right structure, optimal permeability and stability of the surface.

The addition of horticultural sand has an important physical function – it increases drainage, protects against excessive soil compaction and improves aeration of the root zone, which promotes healthy grass growth and prevents water stagnation. The soil is enriched with NPK compound fertiliser, which promotes rapid root system development and intensive turf tillering.

The substrate will prove useful not only for the establishment of new lawns, but also as a regenerating, replenishing and improving layer for native soils. It can also be used as a versatile base for planting ornamental shrubs and field plantings.

POLBALT conifer soil is a professionally developed substrate for the cultivation of all coniferous and acid-loving plant species. The composition has been created on the basis of carefully selected light and dark peats and enriched with the addition of composted pine bark, which guarantees favourable physical and microbiological properties.

The substrate is characterised by a slightly acidic pH, ideal for crops such as spruces, pines, junipers, firs, cypresses, larches or thuyas (thuja). The use of clay, a compound fertiliser and a humidifying agent ensures even moisture, better nutrient sorption and promotes the development of the root system.

Thanks to its structure, the substrate provides plants with the right air and water conditions and effectively reduces the risk of drying out, which is particularly important when planted in full sun or in light, permeable soils.

POLBALT’s universal peat substrate is a carefully formulated mix for a wide range of gardening applications. It is perfect both for establishing new plantings and for the daily care of ornamental plants, balcony plants, herbs, vegetables and potted plants grown at home and on terraces.

The substrate formula was based on selectively chosen peat fractions: light peat (white), transitional peat and black peat from ecologically pure peat bogs in North-Eastern Europe. The neutral reaction (pH 5.5-6.5) and balanced NPK-type starter fertilisation (1 kg/m³) make the substrate ready for direct use and can be used without the need for additional nutritional supplementation during the initial period of plant growth.

The formulation is based on light peat with a high degree of porosity and airiness, which promotes the dynamic development of the root system. The addition of natural clay increases the sorption capacity of the substrate, preventing leaching of nutrients, while stabilising moisture in the root zone. The NPK-type starter fertilisation has been balanced to meet the needs of flowering plants, supporting bud formation and long-lasting, lush flowering.

POLBALT conifer bark is a natural, organic material of forest origin, designed for professional mulching of green areas, flowerbeds, large-scale plantings and reclamation applications. The product is characterised by high quality and a carefully controlled production process, which ensures consistency of fractions and stability of functional properties.

The bark effectively promotes moisture retention in the soil, reduces evaporation and stabilises the temperature in the root zone. By forming an insulating layer, it protects root systems from extreme weather conditions – excessive heating in summer and freezing in winter. In addition, it reduces soil erosion and effectively inhibits weed growth without the need for chemical protection measures.

Soil for rhododendrons by POLBALT is a specialised substrate for the cultivation of plants requiring an acidic pH. The formulation based on high-quality light peat and carefully selected mineral additives provides optimal conditions for the development of acid-loving plants, both in amateur and semi-professional cultivation.

The acidic reaction (pH 4.0-5.0) creates an ideal environment for species such as rhododendrons, azaleas, gardenias, heathers, ericas, as well as some ferns and bog plants.
